Vindelåforsens Stugby is situated in the small mountain village of Ammarnäs in Swedish Lapland. You will find us where the Royal Trail crosses the Vindel River. "Vindel å" means Winding River and "forsens" means near the rapids. When you hear the roaring water you are close to us.

Visit our sculpture-exhibition, experience the settlers-culture through the story of the Five Farmers, go fishing at Camp Bertejaure or take part in our offered packages.

Realise what quiteness really feels like and get to know the difference between urban noice and natural sounds.

Rest a while, we have cabins and houses. We can be your base-camp for hiking in the mountains, going fishing or riding or both! Try rowing, renting a bike, visiting sámi or settlers culture, experiencing the nature exhibition in Naturum, or just staying where you are. We have plenty of space and air - we are oxygenerous!

Vindelåforsens Stugby is dedicated to the sustainable development of the Ammarnäs Area. We can tell you more when you arrive.
